Elephant Ears

Have you heard of Elephant Ears? These yummy flattened cinnamon rolls are so good! And take less time to make than regular cinnamon rolls. I got this recipe from my mother in law and we love it! I hadn’t heard of elephant ears before and I love cinnamon rolls so I figured I would give them a shot. My husband helped me make them too!

My recipe makes 4 ears and is a quick breakfast option because you don’t have to wait for the dough to rise. The bake time is also 8-10 minutes so it bakes up pretty quickly. One thing I would change for future batches would be to brush some melted butter on top of the ears before I put the sugar on top so they will have a more bronze color after baking. Plus, who doesn’t like more butter??

Dry ingredients ready to be stirred
Added the butter and milk and mixed together to make the dough, turned out on a lightly floured surface.
Rolled out and filling is sprinkled on.
Rolling up!
Pinch to close roll
Cut into 4 equal rolls
Flattened out on our baking sheet, sprinkled with sugar, put in the oven!
All done baking and ready to eat!
