Pop Pulled Pork 🐷

Title sounds weird, right? But the dish is totally not weird and is super delicious. Have you made pulled pork in your slow cooker before? Or in your oven? I looked up a number of recipes and found one I really like, made by Pioneer Woman, of course! I love pulled pork sandwiches, especially homemade ones with a toasted bun and some coleslaw on the side, or even some baked beans 😋

For my recipe below, I made some changes to Ree’s original recipe, and the pulled pork was even better. I love to “over-season” my meat before I cook it, any dish, and I love my food to have lots of flavor. I can’t stand bland. Ree’s recipe isn’t bland by any means, but when a recipe says to season the meat I always add extra seasoning to it.

We served this up with toasted buns and baked beans on the side. I normally do coleslaw, but I wanted something even more simple this time. I used canned baked beans, but shhhhh don’t tell anyone! Recipe is at the bottom ❤️🐷

Sliced onions on the bottom of the slow cooker.
Seasonings all mixed up and ready to be applied to my roast.
All seasoned up!
Ready to be slow cooked on High for 6 hours.
Removed from our slow cooker, shredded up and placed back in juices to be served.
